Structural characteristics

Cylindrical battery cells are packaged in steel or aluminum shells, with diameter specifications mainly concentrated in standardized sizes such as 18650 (18mm×65mm), 21700 (21mm×70mm), and 4680 (46mm×80mm). Its wound electrode sheet design forms a uniform current distribution through the helical stacking of three layers of materials - cathode, diaphragm and anode, and the internal resistance can be controlled below 15mΩ.

Technical advantages

Mature technology: The 4680 battery cell led by Tesla adopts Tabless technology, shortening the current path by five times and supporting 300A instantaneous discharge, which is suitable for the cold start requirements of motorcycles.
Thermal management advantages: The cylindrical curved surface structure provides a 360° heat dissipation surface. When thermal runaway occurs, heat diffuses along the axial direction, delaying the sudden rise in local temperature. The measured discharge efficiency at -20℃ can reach 80%.
Cost control: The fully automatic production line enables the yield rate of individual battery cells to reach 99.5%, and the price is 20% lower than that of square battery cells.

Application Challenges

Low grouping efficiency: A single motorcycle battery Pack needs to integrate 200-300 battery cells, with a space utilization rate of only 70%. It is necessary to optimize the layout in combination with CTP (Cell to Pack) technology.
The seismic design is complex: Under the bumpy conditions of motorcycles, silicone buffer layers need to be filled between the battery cells to prevent micro-short circuits caused by shell collisions.
