Lithium iron phosphate start-stop batteries VS. traditional AGM/EFB batteries

Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) : After 2000 cycles, its capacity retention rate still reaches 90%, making it suitable for high-intensity use with dozens of starts and stops per day.
AGM/EFB: The cycle life is only 300 to 500 times. Frequent starts and stops can easily lead to sulfation of the plates, shortening their lifespan.

LFP: After being stored at 65°C for 7 days, its capacity retention rate is 91.34%, and it is not prone to expansion or leakage in high-temperature environments.
AGM/EFB: High temperatures can accelerate the evaporation of the electrolyte, posing a risk of thermal runaway, and the lifespan will decline more rapidly under long-term high temperatures.

LFP: Can still start at -30°C, pulse discharge voltage is stable at -20°C (e.g. 80C@3S down to 2.0V).
AGM/EFB: Capacity drops by 50% at -10°C and may fail to start at extremely low temperatures.

LFP: Energy density ≥120Wh/kg, a 4Ah battery weighs only 0.9kg.
AGM/EFB: With an energy density of only 30-50Wh/kg, the battery of the same capacity weighs 3-4kg, increasing the vehicle load.

LFP: It has high thermal stability and is less likely to catch fire or explode during needle-puncture and overcharge tests.
AGM/EFB: The electrolyte is sulfuric acid. Collision or leakage may corrode the vehicle body, and there is a risk of explosion at high temperatures.

LFP: It contains no heavy metals such as lead and cadmium, and causes extremely low pollution during production and recycling.
AGM/EFB: Lead pollution is severe, the cost of recycling and treatment is high, and it is harmful to the environment.

LFP: Lifetime maintenance-free, no need for regular liquid replenishment, and the overall usage cost is reduced by more than 50%.
AGM/EFB: The electrolyte level needs to be checked regularly. Maintenance is cumbersome and replacement is frequent.
